Camping in beautiful BC

H and I have just returned from a weekend of camping on the Sunshine Coast in BC. After a few busy months (and our last trip being in Vegas), we decided to get back to nature and take some time to see the BC beauty that the locals are always talking about. So, we hired a car, filled the trunk/boot with a tent, an airbed, food and booze and headed to Langdale (on the ferry). We then drove an hour north to a small village called Egmont and pitched our tent in a LOVELY little site called Strongwater. It was awesome to get away, as I have never camped before, and H and I spent a couple of great days away from cellphones, computers and televisions. We even walked 10km to check out The 'Skookumchuck' rapids - which completely killed us and only went to highlight just how unfit I have become.

All in all - a fantastic weekend - and I managed to build fire, which makes me more of a Survivor candidate than H! :) Check out the photos on the Flickr account.
