Where the hell have I been?
Wow. I have been so friggin' lame recently. I have been meaning to post, as stuff has happened recently - but I just keep forgetting, or finding myself busy somewhere else. I am sorry. Here is my lame offering...
* July's shoot cycle was good, and I actually nailed a couple of segments by myself. It was weird, but the segments went well and actually didn't bother me too much. The nerves fell into the category of addressing the camera on my own, which is quite possibly one of the freakiest things I have ever done. Tuesday was a nightmare, but by Friday, Chris (our lovely steadicam operator) didn't seem half a scary! I'm going to be doing it next month as well, so 15 Facebook apps from me, and also 2 segments (one on sports watches and one on relaxation tech...as a sidenote, I am currently testing a product and am making H sleep with a neon blue light on, which is supposed to aid insomnia, but in fact just makes you feel like you are kipping in Vegas!) All in all, work is going well - as always, check out The Lab site.
* Vancouver is actually sunny right now. We've been out and about a far bit, and even ventured to the Yaletown Street Party, or the hella-lame, what the hell is this BS? as it shall now be known. Van is so laid back, which is lovely, but at times, I miss the bustle of Toronto. I was expecting the party to be like Taste of the Danforth, and instead I was greeted by a few old cars and $6 cans of beer.
* However, not to be disheartened, H and I are off camping this weekend on the Sunshine Coast! I have never been camping before, so I am kinda anxious and also kinda excited. It's going to be awesome fun, as we have to take a ferry to the coast and then drive into the middle of nowhere. I've been told that the best thing about camping is too much beer while avoiding bears...$50 says I am in a B&B by Saturday!
* 45 days and counting until I go home to the UK. I can't wait.
I'm off home from work now, so this post is shorter than I hoped. I've actually started videoblogging on The Lab site, and I actually might think about doing that here. It would be soooo much easier than typing, and also soooooo much lazier! :)
