The Lab wrapped, Pzizz and homeward bound
It's been a really busy week - but I am pleased that production cycle 6 of The Lab is done and dusted. We had a really good week - all 15 shows looked awesome, and for me, the job is getting more and more comfortable. I presented 3 segments this month, and my producer says I did a really good job, (but I think he might be a little biased!) There are some photos on the Lab flickr account but here are a few of my personal favourites (including fake hair, bright lights, bull horns and 3D glasses):
Hair extensions make rockers out of normal people...

The bull hornsThe one thing I will definitely take away from this week is a brand new obsession/addiction. I am soooooo not a believer in meditation, incense sticks or whale music. However, I am also someone who can't sleep to save my life, and constantly find myself awake at 4am, thinking about crap that could really wait until the next day. In my research for the show, I think I may have found my cure. Pzizz. It is a relaxation software that has been around for a while, and basically creates unique energizer naps or longer sleeps. You create the naps to suit your needs, and for me - the energizer naps are friggin' fantastic. Now, I realize I may sound somewhat profound, and I am not going to resort to organic foods and wind-chimes. Just try Pzizz...20 mins of energizer napping, and you are a new person.
So, this next week is clearing up from the last and prepping for September's shoot. H's Dad and Stepmom/mum are visiting us next weekend, which is going to be great. Ontario in BC. And we are heading back to see my family 4 weeks today. I cannot bloody wait. I haven't been home since last November (despite telling myself I wouldn't leave it so long...) I am needing to touch base and see my family. Can't wait...can't bloody wait.
